We are incredibly fortunate to have learned that it really does take a village to raise a child and that we have a pretty good one around us.
From the very earliest days with tiny Sam we had the support of our parents who never stuck their oars in but bailed us out whenever we felt like we were drowning!

We are also incredibly lucky to have a sibling each who dote on their nephews, even if my sister does refer to them as "phews" as in "phew, I get to hand them back later!"
The gifts of time and treats and love are ones that our boys will treasure more and more as they get older.

And last but certainly not least are the friends, both with children and without who help us in countless ways. We are so grateful for our little village.
